The Terrabella Group is in the business of acquiring and establishing wineries with a view to centralizing production, management, and distribution.  Terrabella has established a business model designed to capitalize on the consolidation of multiple wineries while maintaining unique brand identities at each location.
Terrabella made its first acquisition in the summer of 2011, purchasing an existing winery and vineyard in Penticton, BC called Perseus.  Since that time, the distribution of Perseus wines has expanded into 150 retail locations, including select listings with BC Liquor Stores.  Renovations totaling $500,000 were completed in June 2013 to the existing winery, including an outdoor patio and revamped exterior.
The Terrabella Group recently acquired its second target location: an 18-acre vineyard situated in a high-traffic area on Boucherie Road in West Kelowna, which will be developed into a new winery under the brand Black Swift Vineyards.  Additional development plans include a 15,000 square foot production facility and a 3,000 square foot tasting room featuring a spectacular view of Okanagan Lake.
Terrabella has now raised $7.5 million from private investors and is in the process of raising the final $3.5 million to complete its four-location business plan, with land acquisition and new construction in Greater Vancouver and Oliver. All four locations are expected to be fully operational by Spring 2015.
